How We Aim to Expand Esports in the Triangle

After successfully opening Triangle Esports in October 2020 during a global pandemic, we desire to take what we have built and expand our services to other areas around the greater Raleigh area and beyond. With esports growing in popularity and its ability to support educational areas such as STEM, we are looking for opportunities to make learning fun and creative for players and students within and outside of Wake County.

How Esports Has Grown in the Triangle

In the past year and a half, we have been able to introduced over 300 youth to our STEM program. Our program exposes them to industries and careers that they have never heard of, such as video game design, computer programing, and more.

We also have supported a number of local schools and nonprofits with over $5,000 in donations, givebacks, and spirit nights. More people are being introduced to

Triangle Esports continually aims to destigmatize gaming and show how it can be healthy and productive. We look forward to providing more opportunities for others to experience the many ways esports can be fun and educational.

What to Expect

North Carolina Esports Academy is proud to announce that we will be expanding to a second location in 2023. We are looking forward to bringing our educational after school programs, STEM camps, birthday parties and more to whichever location we choose to go. Our team has done an excellent job of making learning fun and creative. We are eager to offer our services to reach others spread across the Triangle.

The next location will be no different in terms of the services we offer, who we work with, and who we support. The main factors that will determine where we end up are: availability (retail space is scarce now), support from the municipality, and how well the location fits our target demographic.

Where We Hope to Go

To complement our location located in Waverly Place Shopping Center in Cary, we are exploring options in Apex, Garner, Morrisville, Raleigh, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina and West Cary. Our goal is to have locations in all of those areas with the goal of expanding out to Zebulon, Clayton, and Wake Forest.

Our business is not limited to Wake County which is why we are “Triangle”. We are looking at other counties and have interest in Durham, Chapel Hill, and more. Who knows we could possibly be expanding outside of the Triangle to Fayetteville and other areas in North Carolina.
